    We are searching for top talent to join our Accounting team! The Internal Operations Accountant provides accounting support to internal operations of the organization. This position interacts with colleagues at all levels to answer questions about expenses and budgets and prepares and distributes financial information to the appropriate employees. The Accountant processes bi-weekly payroll including entering expense reimbursements and tracking benefits billing details for employees. This position partners with Human Resources to troubleshoot issues, improve processes and ensure accuracy in payroll. The Accountant prepares invoices for sole service contracts and departmental expenses. This position participates and collaborates on assigned committees and task forces.
    A day in the life of an Internal Operations Accountant could be:
  • Maintain general ledger by accurately coding and inputting journal vouchers and deposits. Maintenance of internal operation transactions as well as fund accounting reconciliation.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, code and pay accounts payable invoices.
  • Provide backup for administration of the credit card processing software including user maintenance. Assist in ensuring credit card and cash reimbursement expenses contain the proper documentation, approval and expenses codes.
  • Balance, reconcile and set up new internal operations accounts as needed.
  • Partner with the Human Resources department to process bi-weekly payroll, benefits plan billing and annual workers compensation audit. Submit payment to all 3rd party benefit providers in a timely manner.
  • Prepare invoices as needed and analyze monthly billing for accounts receivable and sole source contract billing.
  • Year-end closing of accounts and assist with annual audit documents and review. Pull all required documentation per external auditor's request.
  • Cross-training according to departmental guidelines and provide backup to other accounting functions.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • 3+ years professional work experience in accounting, specifically in reconciliation and journal entry
    • Solid understanding of finance and accounting methods
    • Knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications
    • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong organizational and customer service skills
    • A valid motor vehicle operator's license and acceptable driving record

            $55,000-$63,000
