Description:Our team is searching for top talent to join our team! The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day support of fundraising team(s) to keep things running efficiently. This position serves as a generalist across the department, leading projects, identifying, and promoting best practices, supporting onboarding and training of new hires and activating communication for the college/unit. The Coordinator is the onsite point of contact for external stakeholders including alumni, donors, volunteers, and University partners. This position is highly collaborative with colleagues and works closely with University and Foundation leadership. This position oversees the donor acknowledgement process and assists with the planning and execution of fundraising events.As a Certified Great Place to Work, organizational culture and employee engagement is important to us.   • Help develop, implement, and measure progress towards annual goals, objectives and strategies to maximize private support through various sources.
  • Track and measure prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for prospective and present donors.
  • Provide administrative support to unit volunteer boards as assigned.
  • Train and assist new hires in areas pertaining to development coordinator responsibilities as requested.
  • Attend staff meetings, plan agendas and coordinate schedules, prioritizing workload within assigned unit and serve as a liaison between University staff and development team.
  • Maintain donor and fund database as necessary, pull development reports and manage data related projects.
  • Contribute to the stewardship of gifts by managing the acknowledgement process.
  • Reconcile monthly expense reports.
  • Serve as the in-office contact for donors and administrators by answering the telephone, directing calls, sending e-mails, and setting appointments.
  • Plan, support and participate in college/unit fundraising activities and donor engagement events as requested.. Requirements:
    • 2-3 years professional experience in an office focused on providing excellent customer service
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively through verbal and written means
    • Customer centric approach with the ability to listen and translate the needs of others into action
    • Proficient use of programs in the Microsoft Office suite
    • A valid motor vehicle operator's license with an acceptable driving recordDesired Skills & Experience:
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
      • Mastery of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
      • Previous experience using a customer relationship management software
      • Ability to prioritize and organize projects and plans to deliver results
      • Ability to follow through and meet project timelines
      • Experience with non-profits, ideally in higher education
