As a Professional Development Specialist, you will work in a fun, dynamic, fast-paced department. You will support the Directors of Professional Development and Education:

  • Develop and create new training services and programs to meet client needs based on various topics, curriculum, assessment, and certification programs
    • Facilitate professional development programs onsite for clients
      • Deliver remote training, such as Webinars, hybrid onsite, and through Kodo's Learning Management System (LMS)
        • Provide ongoing support and training opportunities for Kodo's Certified Trainers
          • Assist the Director of Professional Development with delivery of the Kodo Certification for Train the Trainer curriculum and onboarding of new Kodo Trainers
            • Develop strategies and written content pertaining to the application of Kodo products and services in early childhood learning environments
              • Create short articles and blog posts relevant to the ECE field
                • Develop written support materials, including product correlations and crosswalks to current forms of assessment in the ECE arena
                  • Assist with company-wide efforts related to trade shows and educational conferencesIn addition to educational content development, the candidate will also be responsible for assisting the Director of Professional Development and company administrators in facilitating client support, integrating industry trends into content, and communicating information gleaned from the ECE field to internal departments.Education, Training, and Experience:
                    • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
                      • 2+ years of teaching experience in an early childhood classroom setting
                        • Familiarity with open-ended play and learning experiences for young children
                          • Demonstrated knowledge in various curriculum and assessments, as well as, state early learning standards
                            • Experience presenting and supporting educators in the classroomKnowledge, Ability, Skills:
                              • Exceptional communication and writing skills
                                • Exceptional public speaking skills
                                  • Excellent research, organizational, and learning skills
                                    • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
                                      • Driven to initiate and move projects toward completion with adherence to deadlines
