About This Role:





The Department of Kinesiology, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is seeking a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor with expertise in exercise physiology or integrative physiology to join their team. Candidates with a strong research background and demonstrated expertise in any area of exercise or integrative physiology with a human research subject focus are encouraged to apply.

The Department seeks candidates committed to scholarly productivity who will conduct nationally visible, funded research that complements Department, College, and University research initiatives. This position will also be expected to teach in the undergraduate and graduate kinesiology and integrative physiology programs, mentor graduate students, and provide University and professional service.

This 9-month position at the rank of assistant/associate professor has a preferred starting date of August 2023, with a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees and participates in the interdisciplinary MPH program. What You'll Need to Succeed:





Minimum Requirements:



  • Earned doctorate in kinesiology, integrative physiology, or a related field

  • Focused line of research in exercise physiology or integrative physiology with a human research subject focus

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • In addition to the requirements listed, to be considered for the rank of Associate Professor applicants must show evidence of research productivity (publications, grant funding) and excellence in teaching and mentoring



    Preferred Qualifications:



    • At least two years of postdoctoral research experience or equivalent faculty appointment

    • Record of extramural funding

    • University teaching experience in relevant area(s)

    • Experience mentoring students in research
