About This Role:
The Department of Kinesiology, within the College of Health and
Human Sciences, is seeking a 9-month, tenure-track
Assistant/Associate Professor with expertise in exercise physiology
or integrative physiology to join their team. Candidates with a
strong research background and demonstrated expertise in any area
of exercise or integrative physiology with a human research subject
focus are encouraged to apply.
The Department seeks candidates committed to scholarly productivity
who will conduct nationally visible, funded research that
complements Department, College, and University research
initiatives. This position will also be expected to teach in the
undergraduate and graduate kinesiology and integrative physiology
programs, mentor graduate students, and provide University and
professional service.
This 9-month position at the rank of assistant/associate professor
has a preferred starting date of August 2023, with a competitive
salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

research disciplines: exercise behavioral science and exercise
physiology. The department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees and
participates in the interdisciplinary MPH program. In addition to
the kinesiology degree, the department also offers undergraduate
degrees in public health and integrative physiology. There are more
than 550 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate students in the

for a separate 9-month, tenure-track assistant/associate professor
position specializing in exercise behavioral science and/or public
health.
The College of Health and Human Sciences is home to six academic
departments (Applied Human Sciences; Food, Nutrition, Dietetics &
Health; Hospitality Management; Interior Design & Fashion Studies;
Personal Financial Planning; and Kinesiology), the Center on Aging,
Physician Assistant program, and a Nursing partnership with Wichita
State University. The College enrolls more than 2,300 undergraduate
and 400 graduate students and employs more than 115 full-time
