About This Role:
The Center on Aging (COA), within the College of Health and Human
Sciences, is currently seeking a 9-month Teaching Assistant
Professor to join their team. This position will be responsible for
teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on-campus and online.
This non-tenure track position will report directly to the
Department Head.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
This 9-month position at the rank of teaching assistant professor
has a preferred starting date of August 2023, with competitive
salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

nationally recognized person-centered care program for nursing
homes for the state of Kansas (PEAK 2.0). The Center's academic
programs encompass an undergraduate minor, secondary major,
Master's degree, and graduate certificate. We also serve older
Kansans and their families through community engagement and
outreach and our aging services research projects. At Kansas State
University, we are an interdisciplinary unit housed within the
College of Health and Human Sciences, with collaborative
relationships across several academic departments and centers both
within the College and across the University. Our faculty and staff
have existing partnerships with K-State Research and Extension
programs, regional universities, the Kansas Department of Aging and
Disability Services (KDADS), the Kansas Department of Health and
Environment (KDHE), various national long-term care organizations,
and national research partnerships.
The College of Health and Human Sciences is home to six academic
departments (Applied Human Sciences; Food, Nutrition, Dietetics &
Health; Hospitality Management; Interior Design & Fashion Studies;
Personal Financial Planning; and Kinesiology), the Center on Aging,
Physician Assistant program, and a Nursing partnership with Wichita
State University. The College enrolls more than 2,300 undergraduate
and 400 graduate students and employs more than 115 full-time
faculty members in teaching, research, and Extension positions
