About This Role:





The Political Science Department at Kansas State University invites applications for a 9 month Visiting Assistant Professor position in Public Administration to begin Fall 2023. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach an undergraduate introductory course on Public Policy and an elective in the candidate's area of specialization. The candidate must also be prepared to teach graduate courses on the Strategic Management of Public and Nonprofit Organizations, Intergovernmental Relations, and Public Personnel Administration. The teaching load is 3-3.

This 9-month Visiting Assistant Professor position has a starting date of August 2023, with a competitive salary.

What You'll Need to Succeed:





Minimum Qualifications:



  • PhD in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (or be ABD and have PhD completed by August 2023)

  • Documented evidence of teaching experience

  • A strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students



    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Experience of teaching relevant courses

    • Evidence of teaching excellence



      Other Requirements:



      • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
