About This Role:





The Department of Kinesiology, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is currently seeking a 9-month Instructor to join their team. This position will be responsible for teaching a variety of undergraduate courses in the department, which offers undergraduate degrees in Kinesiology, Integrative Physiology, and Public Health, and has teaching needs in each area. This position will teach courses in one or more of these areas, helping students prepare for careers or additional education in various health- and physical activity-related settings. This non-tenure track position will report directly to the Department Head.

This 9-month position at the rank of instructor has a preferred starting date of August 2023, with a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

What You'll Need to Succeed:





Minimum Requirements:



  • Earned master's degree in kinesiology, integrative physiology, public health, or a related field

  • At least two years of teaching experience (laboratory and/or lecture courses)

  • Strong written and oral communication skills



    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Earned doctoral degree in kinesiology, public health, or a related field

    • Experience in online and in-person teaching, particularly in one or more of the following areas:



      • Exercise behavioral science, physiology of exercise course/lab, cardiorespiratory physiology, cardiovascular physiology, muscle physiology, autonomic neurophysiology, social determinants and diversity in public health, health policy and administration, and/or rural and community health





      • Demonstrated excellence in teaching



        Other Requirements:



        • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
