You will be responsible for providing the technical skills necessary to execute optimum technical solutions for ISG customers seeking assistance from a recognized full spectrum data center and IT infrastructure partner. Apply today OBJECTIVES: To provide the technical skills to execute optimum technical solutions for ISG internal and external customers. RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Technical Solutions Manager and has primary working relationships with the Sales and Service Departments and will interact directly with ISG customers. E SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ---Prep equipment for delivery and installation, keeping sales staff apprised of status ---Troubleshoot and repair equipment both in-house and onsite oCommunicate with customers and vendor support oResearch parts, warranty information, technical information, repair and purchase history oPickup and deliver equipment oUpdate customers and ISG personnel about repair status ---Install new equipment and upgrades to existing equipment, keeping sales staff apprised of status ---Provide software support including proprietary systems and server backup software ---Train customers in operating equipment and software ---Provide ISG in-house computer and printer support ---Respond to after hours requests for client support ---Inform ISG sales staff about sales opportunities ---Inform customers about ISG services ---Order parts; complete billing and other paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion ---Complete ConnectWise data entry in an accurate and timely fashion ---Participate in available training to advance in skills and knowledge ---Meet ISG standards of utilization and billable hours SKILLS: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following skills: ---Oral Communications - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations; respond well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills and participates in meetings. ---Written Communications - Writes clearly and informatively, edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical and statistical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information. ---Customer Service - Responds promptly and courteously to customers' requests for service and assistance; manages difficult or emotional customer situations. ---Ethics - Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; upholds company values. ---Organizational Support - Follows company policies and procedures. ---Judgment - Include appropriate people in decision-making process. ---Interpersonal Skills - Maintains confidentiality; keeps emotions under control; listens well. ---Strategic Thinking - Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; analyzes market and competition; identifies external threats and opportunities and adapts strategy to changing conditions. ---Planning and organization - Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks. ---Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions. ---Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. ---Detail & Task Oriented - Ability to manage and follow through on multiple tasks, items and communications in a timely manner. COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Should also be internet savvy with respect to researching and acquiring vital technical information when needed. EDUCATIONAL/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: ---Certifications: A or MCSE would be a strong asset ---Professional work experience with Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory will be a great asset ---High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred ---Minimum of 2 years' experience ---Travel to client sites may be required; must possess valid driver's license and driving record must meet the criteria of ISG's insurance carrier for acceptance of coverage. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ---Frequent/sometimes extended periods of standing and working on feet ---Frequent/sometimes extended periods of walking, bending and stooping ---Frequent lifting of servers, laser printers, uninterruptable power supplies, computers and similar technology devices (up to 70 lbs.) ---Occasional climbing of stairs ---Occasional climbing on ladders, working on roofs, scissor lifts or bucket trucks ---Must be able to use hands to assemble or repair servers, printers, uninterruptable power supplies, computers, and similar technology devices ---Must be able to operate and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite ---Automobile travel to client sites is required up to 10% of the time ---Work environment includes: office, shop, manufacturing, indoor and outdoor, construction, etc.
