Overview Position: RN/Registered Nurse --- Wound Care Center -
Days Schedule: 8am --- 5pm (Monday thru Friday) Location:
University Kansas Health System --- St. Francis (Main Campus) The
Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse
Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe
patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient
populations. The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and
prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually
revises the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional,
psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of
the patient/family. The RN delegates care as appropriate to
optimize patient outcomes. The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse

Wound Care duties include: Follows protocols established by
Advanced Wound Center Implement Wound Care and HBO protocols as
clinically indicated. Clearly communicates, both orally and in
writing, to foster staff and patient understanding of treatment
plan. Sensitive to the patient's needs such as physical, spiritual,
and emotional and evaluates response to the delivery of care.
Supports and promotes organizational programs to ensure quality
patient care. Provides quality customer service to patients,
families, coworkers, and other members of the interdisciplinary
health care team to create a professional and respectful
environment. Accountable for self and self-actions: Engages in
self-evaluation of practice and takes action to improve knowledge
and skills. Promotes consensus building and applies techniques of
conflict resolution and conduct improvement. Retains accountability

PTO Qualifications Requirements: A graduate of an accredited
nursing school. Must maintain a current certification in BLS.
Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to work under stressful
situations. Possesses good oral and written communication skills. A
demonstrated ability in interpersonal relationships, which enhances
communication, promotes conflict resolutions, and facilitates staff
development. Desirable characteristics include at least one year of
experience as an R.N., preferably in the area of application. Must
be able to follow directions and perform work according to
department standards when no directions are given. Must be
emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Must possess a current Kansas License as a Registered Nurse. Basic
computer skills. Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook,
Excel) and EPIC software; preferred
