Our St. Francis hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse OR Registered Medical Assistant. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Endocrinology Clinic where you will be responsible for: Responsibilities Licensed Practical Nurse Delivers nursing care according to the standards of care defined within the Kansas Nurse Practice Act and the policies and procedures of The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis Campus. Clearly communicates, both orally and in writing, to foster staff and patient understanding of treatment plan. Provides quality customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment. Registered Medical Assistant Provides patient care according to the Standards of Care defined within the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the policies and procedures of The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis Campus. Effectively manages department/patient activities in a timely efficient manner to ensure the delivery of care is well organized and proficient. Clearly communicates, both orally and in writing, to foster staff and patient understanding of treatment plan. Provides quality customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment. Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse Licensed Practical Nurse degree Kansas State Board of Nursing LPN licensure Basic Life Certification Preference will be given to prior experience in comparable health care setting Basic computer skills Registered Medical Assistant High school graduate or equivalent Graduate from a certified medical assistant school program and registered with an accredited agency Basic Life Certification Preference will be given to prior experience in comparable health care setting Interpersonal and communication skills Ability to interpret and communicate data relevant to patients" needs and responses to care
