Physician- Pediatrician for Primary Care Clinic--Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, Kansas10K Signing Bonus10K Retention BonusThe Pediatrician--will provide care for the children of our military families, utilizing the--Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) approach.--PCMH is a team-based model built around the premise that the best health care begins with a strong primary care foundation.--PCMH improves the care our patients receive by offering enhanced access to care and increased Primary Care Manager continuity, and by promoting patient- and family-centered evidence-based health care.Full-time, Civilian positionM-F 730am-430pmPediatrician Requirements:Residency- MD/DO trained in medicine or surgery, who completed a Residency in Pediatric Medicine Board Certification -Shall be American Board of Pediatric Medicine certified or eligible and must obtain certification within a year--Licensure---Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license in any of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the United States Virgin IslandsThe license must be current and validDEA- DEA registration numbers are requiredCertifications---BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP must be AHA or ARCPediatrician Experience:Pediatricians shall have a minimum of one (1) year of Emergency Room consultation experience within the last five (5) years OR--Recent completion of Residency/Fellowship can be counted towards experience.Pediatrician Duties:Supervision and care of routine, uncomplicated pediatric/adolescent patients, ie., illnesses, injuries, conditions or procedures that have no significant risk to the patient.Pediatricians at this facility are qualified for the following pediatric or adult skills, even if they are not needed for the specific clinic:General diagnosis and treatment of minor illness and uncomplicated general medical conditionsPerform routine histories and physical examsWet reads of acute films and stat EKGsDiagnose and treat minor skin conditionsDiagnose and treat minor orthopedic conditions including sprainsDiagnose and treat minor surgical conditions including minor burns, I&D abscess, minor suturingDiagnose and manage routine infectious diseasesEmergency resuscitation and stabilization including CPR, emergency intubation and ventilation--MDPerm is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
