Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our faith-based healthcare organization. As an RRT at Ascension, you will be an integral part of a team that supports and heals communities through high-quality respiratory care, improving the everyday health outcomes of our diverse patient population. Assess and monitor patients’ respiratory care needs, consulting with physicians and other healthcare staff to develop and modify individual patient care plans. Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity to determine the impact of diseases or injuries on respiration. Manage ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients who cannot breathe normally on their own. Respond to emergency situations and urgent issues involving respiratory distress. Educate patients and their families on lung health and disease prevention. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide holistic care that aligns with our mission of personalized service. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Advanced knowledge of respiratory care procedures and equipment Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Proficiency in using healthcare software and patient management systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) BLS/CPR certification State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
