We're eight products strong and growing.In this role, you will be responsible for payroll activity as a sole contributor for executing on a multi state payroll consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws, implementing policies and procedures. As we are growing rapidly, this position will have the opportunity to implement best practices and have true ownership over the full payroll cycle.About the role:Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.Process bi-weekly payroll in accordance with company polices and proceduresOwn the time tracking for the organization, working hand in hand with department managers to ensure time tracking is accurate for payroll processingProcess applicable payments for payroll taxes, both new and existingTrack commission plans and ensure accurate commission payoutsUnderstands and tracks proper taxation of employer paid benefitsProcess correct garnishment calculations and complianceCompile payroll data such at PTO, insurance and 401(k) deductionsCompile applicable monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reportingMaintain current knowledge and ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour lawsEnters new hires and separations into the HRIS system, and any employee changes to ensure an accurate employee recordAssist in administration of compensation and benefits programs and other team member services that support CivicPlus philosophy, profitability and successAssist in the preparation and recognition of employee anniversaries and promotionsOrganize and participate in employee appreciation events as neededPerforms other duties as assignedExperience & Skills we value:*At least 3 years processing a multi-state PayrollBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of detailDemonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to offer out-of-the-box and creative solutionsAbility to self-motivate and work independently*Note: We know that excellent candidates can have all sorts of backgrounds and experiences, so please don't hesitate to apply even if you don't meet 100% of the listed requirements!
