Gifts received through the foundation fund undergraduate and graduate student scholarships, establish faculty chairs and professorships, provide college and departmental support, and enhance the campus infrastructure. After the money is raised, it must be prudently managed. The Coordinator will have the opportunity to administer progressive initiatives and manage HR data in a way that keeps us efficient and accurate in all that we do. The Coordinator will lead onboarding of new employees, identify and promote best practices, and serve as the first line of service to answer our team members' HR questions. Armed with expert knowledge of the ins and outs of our benefits plans, the Coordinator will be an invaluable resource to our team members throughout their careers with us. This position is highly collaborative with cross-functional colleagues in all areas of the organization. Assist with the logistics of talent acquisition of full-time employees in the areas of scheduling, collecting feedback, reference checks and candidate communication.Lead the pre-hire and onboarding processes for full-time employees in a way that accomplishes essential functions, introduces our culture of excellence, and ensures new hires feel welcomed.Develop and manage a calendar of organizational engagement initiatives focused on enhancing the employment experience to include monthly, quarterly and annual events including communication strategies.Act as HRIS system expert and data owner. Continually seek ways to improve functionality and scale processes and procedures according to the organization's needs.Lead payroll processing in partnership with accounting team to ensure accuracy and infallability of the system.Act as the KSUF benefit program expert, including standard health and welfare plans and retirement plans. Provide explanation of benefits plans to all employees and ensure alignment with system information, employee elections, and carrier billing.Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and executing required programs including, but not limited to, COBRA, FMLA, Workers Compensation, etc.Provide admistrative support to the Talent department by serving as the main point of contact for departmental questions and general maintenance, maintaining department-owned programs, documents, and intranet sites, and completing monthly expense reconciliation for the team.
