About This Role:
Join the Facilities Ground Maintenance team as a Landscape
Technician I. You will participate in planting, watering,
fertilizing, pruning, weed whipping, mowing, pulling and hoeing
weeds, raking leaves, picking up trash and debris, cleaning
sidewalks, mulching, and snow removal by operating various tools
and equipment of the trade. Perform plumbing and electrical duties
to operate, maintain, repair, and install irrigation systems on
campus grounds. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Knowledge of the general practices applied in the care and safe
operation of a wide variety of light to medium maintenance
- Knowledge of standard safety practices
- Ability to operate a wide variety of lighter and some heavy
- Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of grounds, tree, and shrub care
- Six months of experience in equipment operation
- Some positions may require attainment of a commercial driver's
- Basic leadership skills
- This position is covered by the Kansas Association of Public
Employees (KAPE) agreement.
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license
