Department: Operations
Reports to: General Manager
Subordinates: Front Office Staff
SUMMARY: Coordinates front office responsibilities, provides support to the General

    Manager and acts as property Manager on Duty when assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage and monitor activities of front desk agents to ensure adherence to standards
    • of excellence and to the guidelines set in the employee handbook, hotel policies and
    • procedures, coaching, training and correcting where needed
    • Maintain a professional and high-quality service oriented environment always
    • Act as manager on duty for the hotel, dealing with complaints, problem-solving,
    • disturbances, special requests and any other issues that may arise
    • Provide front office training to desk agents as directed by General Manager
    • Assist in scheduled front desk staff within budget guidelines.
    • Responsibility for managing operating expenses and purchasing for the department
    • Coordinate daily responsibilities of front desk agents and observes performance
    • Assist in conducting department meetings keeping staff informed of all activities in
    • the hotel, reinforcing standards of excellence and promoting a formidable team
    • atmosphere and culture
    • Accurate and complete adherence to bank records, account receivables/payables and
    • other procedures to ensure accurate and timely collections
    • Performs functions of front desk agent as scheduled by General Manager
    • Assists with sales and marketing efforts of directed
    • Follows company policies and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned

      QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. A minimum of sixmonths of supervisory experience in hotel front office operations.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision to computer screens. Theemployee is occasionally required to use a sense of smell. The employee could be required tolift and or carry boxes up to 15 pounds.
          Reading and writing abilities are utilized to document or record all tasks delegated andcompleted, to order supplies, enter in reservations, submit reports or to read and understandsensitive cash handling materials.
          Reasoning abilities are always utilized. Basic mathematical abilities are utilized a significantportion of the time.
          This person will need to be able to react quickly in emergency situations and make decisionsthat may involve the safety of others or a great amount of money.
