Temporary Customer Service Associate

What You'll Do: Our ideal candidate is team oriented and highly
motivated, projecting a positive image of Farm Bureau by providing
exceptional first call resolution service to our agents, and
customers from our inbound contact center. You will work closely
with our agents, client/members and underwriters to process policy
changes. It's key that you understand and implement a standard of
service that will result in a consistent, positive customer
experience by focusing on the relationship at each interaction. You
- Handle processing functions for policy service requests, and
cancellations for business owners, commercial package, workers
compensation, and umbrella policies.
- Assist with support for storm claims, both via phone and
- Review submitted materials for completeness and accuracy;
perform follow-ups as needed with agent, underwriting,
client/members and third-party vendors for information.
- Research and respond to inquiries from agents or client/members
regarding coverages, billing, premium rating, claims, and
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- High school diploma or equivalent required plus one year of
relevant experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of property/casualty insurance products is helpful;
however we do offer an excellent on-the-job training
- Exceptional customer service skills are required, including
strong verbal communication and business professional writing
- Flexibility to organize and process work to meet Farm Bureau
standards with limited supervision under tight deadlines, with high
accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills are required in order to quickly learn
our multiple systems. MS Office is preferred; keyboard skills of 45
- 50 NWPM.
- Considering full or part time hours with flexibility based on
our operating hours from our office in Manhattan, KS. Available
hours of operation are all Central Time as follows: Mon-Fri: 7:00
AM to 9:00 PM; Sat: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM; Sun 10:00 AM to 5:00
