About This Role:


Housing and Dining Services seeks a qualified applicant for the full-time, temporary position of accounting specialist to assist with student accounts and occupancy. The position offers the opportunity to work with a team focused on providing exceptional customer care.
Duties and responsibilities include:

• 
  
• Assisting with telephone and in-person customer inquiries and requests
  
• Review customer accounts and respond to inquiries
  
• Review and balance resident account statements
  
• Reconcile data from various reports and sources
  
• Reconcile deposits and credit card transactions
  
• Review past due accounts
  
• Compile standardized reports
  
• Assist with First-Year Residency Requirement exemptions

  Minimum Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma and six months of relevant experience
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • Completion of related coursework
      
    • Experience in general office/clerical work or accounting
      
    • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to diverse clientele
      
    • Ability to maintain positive, effective working relationships
      
    • Knowledge of on-campus housing, occupancy, and billing procedures
