About This Role:


The Office of the Registrar seeks to fill a IT Support Specialist II position.
This position serves as a primary member of the Academic Technology unit within the Office of the Registrar. This position supports internal office functions and university administrative systems and requires a working knowledge of all areas with the unit; cross-trains with other departmental functions to facilitate support and coverage. This position demonstrates quality service, innovation, creativity, ethical and proactive behavior, and a working knowledge which includes but is not limited to the following areas:


  • Basic student records (program/plan, grades, registration/ enrollment, academic standing, graduation, etc.)
  • Class and room scheduling
  • Curriculum approval
  • System development, database architecture/configuration and setup, troubleshooting and problem- solving, running batch processes, reporting and analysis, and training users.

    What You'll Need to Succeed:


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma
    • Two years of relevant experience

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree
      • Higher Education/post-secondary experience: one year progressively responsible experience in Enrollment Management (Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar) or experiences directly related area of expertise that interacts with the business processes handled by these offices.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a highly detailed work environment.
      • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including an excellent command of the English language, grammar, and syntax.
      • Experience reviewing, implementing, or recommending changes to multiple policies and procedures including University, state, and federal rules and regulations.
      • Ability to exercise independent judgement in evaluating situations, making decisions as well as grasp new techniques and updates to products/processes quickly.

          Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:


          $19.13- $24.39 per hour ($39,780 - $50,714)
