We are also proud to provide competitive wages, generous paid time off, and several voluntary benefits like ambulance and disability insurance, among others.The Role You PlaySchool-based Youth Rehabilitation staff provide rehabilitation services for youth with serious emotional disturbances (SED) and their families in the school and home setting. You will network with school and agency staff, as well as other social service agencies to facilitate and provide services for children in both elementary and secondary schools in the community.Although this is a school-based program, the position is year-round.The Day-to-DayEngaging in direct services with children in the program in school, home, and community settings - based on established treatment plansEffectively work and communicate with other members of the treatment team to address the child's needs and ensure consistent, high-quality treatmentScheduling services and documenting progress in the child's health recordTraining in crisis response procedures and providing 1-on-1 support to clients in crisisOther Duties as AssignedBeing an on-call resource for crisis servicesAssist with medication complianceActing as an advocate for mental health rights and community integrationWho You AreThe ideal candidate is reliable and trustworthy, (you will be expected to set and keep your own schedule!), and has experience/a passion for working with children. They are also flexible and creative, as we give CSPs the freedom to plan out activities themselves. Finally, you will be working with high-needs children, so a proven ability to manage high-stress situations eloquently, tactfully, and professionally is required.If that describes you, apply now!RequiredHigh School graduate or equivalentReliable transportation, a clean driving record, and automobile liability insuranceExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalBasic computer skillsFamiliar with, or willing to be trained in, trauma-informed carePreferredSome post-secondary education in human services and/or related work experienceExperience with Microsoft OfficeResults of criminal and all other applicable background checks must meet the approval of Pawnee Mental Health Services.
