About This Role:

The Division of Information Technology is seeking a Contracts Administrator. This position administers contractual obligations for hardware maintenance and software procurement (creation, renewal and maintenance) for university-wide software contracts along with contracts supporting all departments within the Division of Information Technology.
Job Responsibilities include:
Contract Administration for university-wide software agreements and central IT hardware maintenance, software agreements and other contractual commitments. This position acts as a liaison between IT units, KSU Purchasing, Office of General Counsel and vendors to ensure the contract terms and product usage fall within State laws/statutes and the KSU Policy and Procedures Manual. This covers all aspects of the contracts, including, but not limited to, contract negotiations, procurement, payment processing, license key distribution, and rebilling of end-user departments. This position also manages the annual renewal and payments of current IT contracts and maintains up to date contract and payment information in our contract system.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an associate degree and one to three years of relevant experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Background and/or education in accounting/purchasing field.
    • Knowledge of contract administration.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with IT and non-IT colleagues, vendors and others.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office software (Word, Teams, Calendar, OneDrive, create spreadsheets in Excel, etc).
    • Strong attention to detail and highly organized with the ability to multi-task. Must be able to track contracts and follow up with vendors, Purchasing, Office of General Council and other IT personnel.
    • Knowledge of information technology terminology, contract terms and ability to apply this when reviewing contracts.
    • Ability to work in vendor dashboards, interpret information, download data, investigate issues with vendor and IT personnel.
    • Enter data into our contract tracking software and add attachments in a timely manner. Must be able to download data into spreadsheets to manipulate data and interpret and identify issues.
