The Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning,
coordination, and execution of large and small scale events
supporting development, volunteer engagement and employee
engagement initiatives. This position is responsible for providing
support for all event operations including but not limited to:
securing space, negotiating terms and contracts with vendors;
managing budgets, event communication materials, making decisions
regarding design, decor, catering and overall guest experience. A
positive can do demeanor is key to success in this role while
working closely with other team members and cross-functional
partners daily. The Coordinator works collaboratively with
departments across the organization to help ensure a first-rate
donor experience.
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the planning and coordination of on-site and remote
events, activities and partnerships.
- Utilize event module to build event registrations, as well as
create, track and lead event RSVP responses to ensure proper
attendee count, special considerations/attendee needs and provide
follow up as necessary.
- Prepare nametags and monitor the registration table at
events.
- Provide onsite event support for guests and tend to unexpected
requests/issues that may arise.
- Assist with inventory management of event and catering
supplies, courtesy gift, and assist with fulfilling event
supply/courtesy gift requests.
- Assist in preparation of event-related copy, forms and pre and
post event reports to ensure proper illustration of how expected
outcomes were met.
- Assure appropriate filing and imaging of event materials
including invitations, contracts, receipts and other support
documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications,
hospitality, marketing or related field
- 1-3 years professional and transferrable work experience in a
fast-paced work environment where project management,
customer-service, and being detail oriented are key
- Positive, team-player with customer focus and excellent
problem-solving skills
- Customer centric approach with the ability to listen and
translate the needs of the donor into action
- Exemplary attention to detail and ability to manage multiple
projects at once and meet timelines
- Demonstrated proficiency working with computers, databases and
the Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and
oral and written communication skills
- Uses discretion, displays mature judgment and diplomacy
- Must be able to work outside of regular business hours,
including nights and weekends
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Salary Description
$43,000-$50,000 annually
