About This Role:
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary
Medicine is seeking a Veterinary Nurse I, II, or III to join our
dedicated Oncology Service to provide exemplary patient care. While
there are many responsibilities of this position, the primary
responsibility is to work collaboratively with veterinary students,
interns, residents, and faculty clinicians to provide medical and
radiation oncology treatments for patients. Communication and
leadership skills are utilized daily to facilitate treatment
schedules, coordinate student orientations, and assist in
communication with clients. Veterinary Nurses have the opportunity
to advance their skillsets through continuing education, various
learning experiences, and subspecialty certifications recognized by
NAVTA. The VHC also has an established career ladder for veterinary
nurses to provide opportunities for professional advancements.
Working hours for Veterinary Nurses in this position will include
daytime hours Monday-Friday.
