Job Description:

Essential Duties Effectively performs preventive maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability. Experience with troubleshooting and repairs processing, packaging, and facility related equipment. Collaborates with production personnel to identify root causes of mechanical downtime. Interprets mechanical blueprints / equipment manuals & electrical schematic drawings. Performs metal fabrication tasks as necessary to complete repairs including cutting, welding and finishing. Performs plumbing, pneumatic, and millwright activities as required. Displays an understanding of AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drives, and the ability to safely troubleshoot circuits of varying voltage (110/120, 220, 480). Evaluates equipment condition and reacts appropriately with follow-up activities. Identifies opportunities for improvement in plant processes, execute action plans to improve reliability, Participates in CI activities, AM / PM /FI team meetings and lead meetings as necessary. Effectively lead internal EHS safety programs as assigned, Assist in capital project initiatives, selection of new equipment, Factory Acceptance Testing, ensure new equipment meets human and food safety requirements, Trains operators and others in proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Knowledge & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Food manufacturing experience is preferred Exposure to PLC, SLC 500/PLC5/RS Logics/Device Net preferred. Exposure to AC and DC motors, VFD drive experience preferred Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.
