Need Someone Like YouAs a Project Engineer, you will play assist
the Project Manager with a variety of project related functions
including planning and coordinating onsite construction activities
for designated projects, to ensure that project objectives are
accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding
parameters.Your Typical Day Might Look Like This
- Drafting RFIs (Request for Information) and Proposal
Letters
- Reviewing submittals and specifications, and assisting in
documentation and budget control
- Assisting Project Manager in the development and nurturing of
client relationships
- Estimating change orders, developing and helping monitor the
project schedule
- Maintaining procurement, proposal and correspondence logs
- Facilitating quality control measures
- Performing cost coding
- Project ForecastingAdditional Duties as this is a Hybrid
Project Engineer/Estimator
- Preparation of HVAC, plumbing and piping estimates
- Review bid documents, specifications, and drawings to determine
the scope of work.
- Coordinate bid preparation and final closeout for hard
bids.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and assist team in the
development of bid strategy to win projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients
- Responsible for layout and takeoff of incomplete drawingsYou
Will Bring This to the Table
- Bachelor s Degree in Construction Science Management,
Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
preferred.
- Equivalent technical training and related experience will be
considered.
- Technical or administrative experience in HVAC, piping, and
plumbing at a commercial, industrial, or institutional level
preferred.
- Knowledge of construction engineering technology, processes and
standards
- Team orientation and collaborative spirit
- Self-motivation; ability to drive results
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to develop and foster strong professional
relationships
- Basic level of business acumen
- Ability to proactively identify potential problems and their
solutions
- Knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control
- Technical knowledge of mechanical construction, HVAC, piping
plumbing, etc.
- Technical knowledge of general construction so as to interpret
all project documents and impact it will have on estimate.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Keen attention to detail/accuracy
- Ability to be self sufficient and work under minimal
supervision. Must be capable of facilitating a bid process through

- The range for this position has been established at $57,000.00
- $86,000.00 is US Engineering s good faith and reasonable estimate
at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the
finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of
factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience,
education, specialty and training.
