That s a responsibility we take very seriously, and it s why we are driving innovation and disrupting the way people think about construction and facility service.We Need Someone Like YouAs a Project Engineer, you will play assist the Project Manager with a variety of project related functions including planning and coordinating onsite construction activities for designated projects, to ensure that project objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.Your Typical Day Might Look Like ThisDrafting RFIs (Request for Information) and Proposal LettersReviewing submittals and specifications, and assisting in documentation and budget controlAssisting Project Manager in the development and nurturing of client relationshipsEstimating change orders, developing and helping monitor the project scheduleMaintaining procurement, proposal and correspondence logsFacilitating quality control measuresPerforming cost codingProject ForecastingAdditional Duties as this is a Hybrid Project Engineer/EstimatorPreparation of HVAC, plumbing and piping estimatesReview bid documents, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work.Coordinate bid preparation and final closeout for hard bids.Participate in pre-bid meetings and assist team in the development of bid strategy to win projects.Build and maintain relationships with clientsResponsible for layout and takeoff of incomplete drawingsYou Will Bring This to the TableBachelor s Degree in Construction Science Management, Architectural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.Equivalent technical training and related experience will be considered.Technical or administrative experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing at a commercial, industrial, or institutional level preferred.Knowledge of construction engineering technology, processes and standardsTeam orientation and collaborative spiritSelf-motivation; ability to drive resultsEffective communication skillsAbility to develop and foster strong professional relationshipsBasic level of business acumenAbility to proactively identify potential problems and their solutionsKnowledge of estimating techniques and cost controlTechnical knowledge of mechanical construction, HVAC, piping plumbing, etc.Technical knowledge of general construction so as to interpret all project documents and impact it will have on estimate.Good communication skills, written and verbalKeen attention to detail/accuracyAbility to be self sufficient and work under minimal supervision. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your pay check.
