About This Role:

The College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) is seeking a Degree Analyst to join their team in the Dean's Office. This full-time, 12-month position supports the work of the Associate Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs and the Assistant Dean of Student Services, working with College faculty, staff, and students, as well as various entities across the University, to support student retention and enrollment management. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Clarify and resolve concerns regarding the application of credits toward degrees for students, advisors, faculty, and student services personnel based on current University and College policies and procedures
  • Review and process Program/Plan Change forms and Change of Requirement Term requests, entering them into KSIS
  • Review incoming student records and make decisions on the application of credits toward the intended program of study
  • Establish sequence and method for the completion of graduation checks
  • Complete graduation requirement checks for all undergraduate students who have completed at least 75 credit hours
  • Communicate with students and advisors with concerns impacting graduation and develop solutions, utilizing knowledge of current and past programs
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of documentation by entering precise, detailed data into KSIS, including student plans, requirement terms, and advisor information
  • Provide other support as requested

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma
    • One year of relevant experience

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Associate's or bachelor's degree
      • 3 years of related Academic experience
      • Experience with KSIS Master Extract, KSIS Student-specific functions, and MS Excel
      • Proficiency in generating reports using MS Excel
      • Understanding of MS Word merge function
