About This Role:





Facilities is looking for a Landscape Technician I. This position will maintain university property and surrounding areas, cut grass, trim, rake leaves, clean areas, plant flowers, and prune trees or shrubs. Maintain driveways, parking lots and walkways by removing debris, litter, snow, and ice. Performs routine maintenance on equipment.

• Knowledge of the general practices applied in the care and safe operation of a wide variety of light to medium maintenance equipment
  
  
• Knowledge of standard safety practices
  
  
• Ability to operate a wide variety of lighter and some heavy equipment
  
  
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  
  
• Knowledge of grounds, tree, and shrub care
  
  
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license
  
  
• Basic leadership skills
