About This Role: The Maintenance Supervisor Senior provides supervision and leadership to a multiple craft crew and up to ten students and to assist in the duties required for administration for a large university. The zone team is responsible for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, fire systems, and building systems. What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Requirements: * Requires a high school diploma * Five to 10 years of relevant experience. Prefered Qualifications: * Extensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices used in operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and electrical equipment of a physical plant and large commercial buildings. * Ability to develop, plan, and implement work schedules and to otherwise supervise all aspects of the work performed by subordinate staff members. * Prefer knowledge of KDHE, CFC, asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and EPA regulations. * Extensive experience in working in and around multiple buildings and their systems. * High school graduate or equivalent and technical/vocational completion of a building maintenance trade. Completion of training and classes in the computer field. Other Requirements: * Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment * Be trained and certified to give forklift inspections and training to employees as required, within the probationary period. * Valid driver's license upon employment. * Subject to on-call, standby and inclement weather response. Subject to on-call, standby and inclement weather response. * Responsible to know, understand, and follow safety guidelines in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, to include K-State and Facilities policies and procedures. * Medical certification for respirator use within probationary period. Maintain medical certification for respirator annually.
